PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Objectives

The main objective was to increase the capacity of youth organisations and support them in creating more effective and collaborative efforts towards improving the opportunities for employment and influence among the youth of Dar es Salaam.

 

Immediate objectives

Process 1: Organisational and administrative capacity of the partner organisations, Tanzania Youth Vision Association (TYVA), Open Mind Tanzania (OMT) and Youth for Africa (YOA) are strengthened. The organisations have put in place proper structures, systems and processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and democratic representation.

Process 2: The knowledge on employment issues for youth, advocacy and networking among the partner organisations, Tanzania Youth Vision Association (TYVA), Open Mind Tanzania and Youth for Africa (YOA), has been strengthened.

Process 3: 7 youth organisations based in Dar es Salaam have increased their knowledge on employment issues for youth, advocacy and networking and together with the 3 partner organisations they have developed a plan for how to work together towards creating im proved opportunities for employment and influence among the youth of Dar es Salaam.

All three youth organisations are a part of the Decent Work and Labour Rights -program
